Europe was built on the ideas of people who dared to think differently. The Order of European Inventors and Innovators exists to recognise those people — the inventors and innovators whose solutions change the life of communities — and to turn that recognition into energy for those who come after them.
What we believe
We believe that every invention put to work is an embryo of progress. We believe that creativity is taught, not merely inherited. And we believe that a society which values its inventors builds its own future — while one that forgets them exports its talent and imports its future.
What we do
We recognise merit. We award distinctions and diplomas of merit on the basis of assessment by peers — inventors and scientists who understand from the inside the road from idea to patent, and from patent to market.
We educate creativity. We support the culture of inventiveness through courses, conferences and resources on creative thinking, from school to doctoral level.
We build the community. We bring together inventors, researchers, educators and entrepreneurs in a network of merit, in which valuable ideas find partners, not just applause.
We raise bridges across Europe. Between generations, between the home country and the diaspora, between an idea and the market — because technical creation has no borders, and neither should its recognition.
Our vision
A Europe in which no creative child buries their questions for fear of ridicule; in which inventors are known and honoured as athletes and artists are; in which valuable ideas are not lost along the way, but become prosperity for communities. It is for this Europe that we work — distinction by distinction, course by course, person by person.
